Struck by The Perth Mint from 3/4oz of 99.99% pure gold and 3/4oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The Perth Mint will issue no more than 250 of the Australian Wedge-Tailed Eagle 2023 1.5oz Bi-Metal Proof Gilded Coin.

DESIGN

The coin incorporates a pure gold centrepiece depicting a wedge-tailed eagle with outstretched wings standing on a branch. The bird and branch are gilded in 24 carat gold, enabling the artistry to extend into the pure silver border. Also included in the design is the inscription 'AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE', the 2023 year-date, and The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark.

The coin's obverse bears The Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse, featuring the Jody Clark effigy supplemented with the dates of Her Majesty's reign. Also on the obverse is the coin's monetary denomination.

PRESENTATION

This coin is housed in a classic grey display case with a themed shipper and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
