This collectible coin features the Meadow Argus butterfly, admired for its warm earthy tones and distinctive eye-like wing patterns.

At the heart of the design is a beautiful opal insert, incorporated into the wing pattern of Meadow Argus, adding a uniquely Australian touch to the coin’s presentation.

Design

This beautiful silver coin showcases a Meadow Argus butterfly against a backdrop of delicate flowers. The butterfly is finely detailed, including its distinctive eye-like markings, which add depth and character to the design.

A genuine opal insert features in one of the butterfly’s wings, catching the light with flashes of green, blue and golden hues. Set against the contrasting frosted and polished silver, the opal brings the butterfly to life with a beautiful shimmer of colour.

The design is framed by the inscriptions “OPAL WINGS” and “MEADOW ARGUS”, identifying the series and featured butterfly.

Elegant and detailed, the design captures the beauty of the Meadow Argus in its natural setting, with the vibrant opal providing a striking focal point against the silver.
