Beloved marsupial As well as their trusted weight and purity, Australian koala silver bullion coins boast superb annual artistry capturing the essence of these gentle creatures. In 2025, the design depicts a day in the life of the koala, high up in the tranquil sanctuary of the eucalyptus tree canopy.

Design

Struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin portrays a coloured representation of two snake in the form of the Chinese symbol '喜喜' (Xi), meaning Double Happiness ,with floral motifs on the left and right side. It includes the inscription ‘YEAR OF THE SNAKE 2025’ and the Chinese symbol for ‘2025’, along with The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. 2025 koala design The coin portrays a coloured representation of an adorable koala lying on a tree branch amongst eucalyptus foliage. Included on the reverse are the inscriptions ‘KOALA’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, along with the coin’s weight, purity and 2025 year-date. The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,500 of the Brisbane Money Expo ANDA Special Australian Koala 2025 1oz Silver Coloured Coin in Card.

Presentation

Coin show packaging This coin is housed in a superbly illustrated presentation card featuring the words 'BRISBANE MONEY EXPO ANDA SPECIAL' and the Australasian Numismatic Dealer’s Association logo. On the back of the card is a fold-out stand for upright display.
