Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1/4oz of 99.99% pure gold in proof quality and is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 500 of the Australian Kookaburra 2024 1/4oz Gold Proof Coin.

DESIGN

The coin's reverse portrays a kookaburra in flight over a gorge with a snake in its talons. The design includes the inscription 'KOOKABURRA', a 'P125' mintmark signifying The Perth Mint's 125th anniversary, and the coin's weight, purity and 2024 year-date.

The obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the coin's monetary denomination.

PRESENTATION

The coin is housed in a classic display case with a wooden lid. Packaged within an illustrated shipper, each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
