Antiqued Design

The coin’s reverse portrays two mice foraging on husks of corn in the foreground and mice among stalks of corn and wheat in the background. Also included in the design is The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

The surface of the coin has been ‘antiqued’ by hand to give it a unique finish conveying the abrasions of an ancient artefact. As a result of this treatment the appearance of each coin may vary.

Presentation Packaging and Numbered Certificate

The coin is presented in a classic black display case with a clear lid. The case is packaged in a beautifully illustrated shipper and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

When arranged together, this and shippers of future coins in the 12-year Australian Lunar Series III will form a diorama depicting the ancient myth of The Great Race involving each animal in the zodiac.
