Design

The reverse portrays a kookaburra in flight above a winding river, surrounded by rugged rock formations and lush native trees. Also incorporated into the design are the inscription 'KOOKABURRA', The Perth Mint's renowned 'P' mintmark, together with the coin's weight, fineness and 2026 year-date.

Technical Information

Unlike a traditional strike where the design is raised above the surface, this coin has been produced using an intricately detailed incused finish, with the design recessed into the metal to create a distinctive and eye-catching appearance.
