Anzac Day falls on the 25th of April each year, the day Australian and New Zealand troops landed on the Gallipoli peninsula in 1915. since 1916,it has been dedicated to commemorative activities honouring the courage and sacrifice of the first ANZACs during World War I and all succeeding Defence Force personnel who have served in times of war and other operations.

Issued as Australian legal tender, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin's reverse and obverse designs.

The Anzac Day 2024 $1 Coin in Card has an unlimited mintage.

DSEIGN

The reverse of the coin portrays a representation of a war memorial, a place for people to gather and remember those who have served in and died as a result of war. Set against a waterway among hills, the obelisk is surrounded by two flags, both at half-mast. Included in the design is a motif representing a torch and an eternal flame, the inscriptions '25 APRIL' and 'LEST WE FORGET', the 2024 year-date and a 'P125' mintmark signifying The Perth Mint's 125th anniversary.

The coin's obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.

PRESENTATION

The coin is housed in a specially designed card which features a fold-out stand for upright display.
