Dreaming down under

Illustrated by Australian artist Elise Martinson, this series is inspired by dreamy newborn basket photography, a trend adored by parents all the world over.

Issued as Australian legal tender, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.

Design

The coin’s reverse depicts a cute baby wombat asleep in a fleece-lined nest surrounded by Australian native flowers and wildlife. The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also appears on the reverse.

The Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2021 year-date and the monetary denomination are depicted on the coin’s obverse.

Themed envelope

The coin is presented in a beautifully illustrated pastel pre-paid postal envelope which is post marked for the first day of issue, featuring a Greenbushes WA post mark dated 9 November 2021.
